Celebration of French-language films

by

The 11th edition of French-language Film Fortnight got underway on 7 October at the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles in Paris.
Organised by the International French-language Agency of Luxembourg, Québec, TVA and RFI, this year’s event will focus on “dialogue between cultures and cultural cross-pollination”. 30 films from 20 countries (including the Antilles, Belgium, France, Québec, and African Countries) will be screened and the inaugural film is Flora Gomes’ Nha Fala, a New Guinea-Bissau production that was first screened in competition at the last Venice film festival. French-language Fortnight will close with the screening of Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne’s Le Fils, starring Olivier Gourmet, who won the best actor award at the last Cannes film festival.
