New DG at Pathé Distribution
Top French theatrical distributor, Pathé Distribution has a new director general. Olivier Granire is to replace Marc Bonduel in the day to day management of distribution in France and international sales. Bonduel himself was appointed just one year ago. Olivier Granire worked for StudioCanal in the US before becoming head of the Comédie TV channel that is also owned by Pathé.
During his mandate, Bonduel was instrumental in releasing this year’s French tent pole release, Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra on to 950 French screens.
No changes were made to the Pathé Group’s production arm that is run by Richard Pezet.
