Youth of 2006 at Cineambiente
The next edition of Cineambiente, the Italian festival about cinema and the environment, will take place in Turin from 18-25 October. This year’s theme are the “Youth of 2006”, i.e. the 20,000 Italians who were born between 1981 and 1988 who will help organise the 2006 Winter Olympics that will be held in Turin.
Cineambiente has always placed great importance on young people, especially from Turin and the surrounding area, and its programming reflects this. Twenty young people will form one of the juries charged with assigning the best feature and short film awards. Another group of thirty will be employed during the festival and will publish a daily newsletter. A third group is already at work making the short film that will become the theme of the Ecokids section.
