Retrospective - Antonioni
- Cinecittà Holding has organised a one-man show of Michelangelo Antonioni’s entire body of film work
There could be no better way to celebrate the 90th birthday of one of the world’s greatest film directors of all time. Carlo di Carlo is the curator of the biggest-ever fully comprehensive Antonioni retrospective ever organised that includes all his short films as well as a number of films about Antonioni including the one his wife, Enrico Fico made during the making of Al di là delle nuvole entitled Fare un film è per me vivere – Filmmaking is life itself to me.
This retrospective has been organised by Cinecittà Holdingespecially for the Festival and includes the world premiere of the restored print (by courtesy of Mediaset-Cinema Forever and the National Film School/National Film Archive) of one of Antonioni’s most famous masterpieces, L’avventura.
