The 13th edition of Finland’s Espoo Ciné film festival is scheduled to open today with French director, François Ozon’s latest hit, 8 women and will close on August 25 on a “high” note with Heaven, a film that Germany’s Tom Tykwer based on a screenplay by the late great Polish director, Krzsztof Kieslowski. A selection of some of the best new Finnish productions will play to the home audience, the titles include Saara Saarela’s comedy, Hengittämättä & nauramatta and the directorial debut of popular actor, Kai Lehtinen, a love story entitled Umur.
