For its 23rd year, the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) (14-24 June, Cluj-Napoca) has celebrated a new edition with a programme that included over 200 films & special events. Showcasing the best of the new Romanian Cinema, the TIFF also set the stage for emerging voices in international cinema: the two main competition - for feature films & documentary - are dedicated to 1st or 2nd time directors. Italian filmmaker Daniele Luchetti has been honoured with a special award for his contribution to world cinema. Over 900 foreign and local guests - directors, actors, producers, screenwriters - took take part in the festival programme.
