Presentation and Philosophy:
Born in Turin in 1994, ready to set a new course of studies using innovative methods, aims and content, Scuola Holden is a Storytelling school. A unique place, where narrative techniques are taught. The name of the school comes from young Holden Caulfield, the main character in J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye: the boy who didn’t want to know anything about schools, colleges, teachers, subjects and exams. Well, he would have liked this school.
In its 20 years of life, Scuola Holden has expanded and specialized: whoever feels the urge to tell a story, here can learn to tell it with different languages and tools.
But Scuola Holden is also a lot more, a cultural production centre: events, meetings, projects. An open place where ideas are born and thrive.
