Isaki La Cuesta, FIPRESCI Prize with Los Condenados, San Sebastián Film Festival 2009
Cineuropa meets up with experimental director Isaki Lacuesta, whose feature film Los Condenados (The Condemned) is a contender in the Official Selection at the Festival of San Sebastian. After much success in the documentary genre Isaki turns for the first time to fiction film and for the first time experiments with a script in hand. Isaki tells the story of a group of revolutionaries that, after thirty years, search for the grave of their missing companion. Tension rises and we get the feeling there is more going on than we might think.
