KARLOVY VARY 2018: The shortlist of the ten movies selected for the European Parliament's LUX Prize was revealed at the 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
The shortlist of the ten movies selected for the European Parliament's 2018 LUX Prize was revealed at this year's edition of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival; you can read the news here.
As usual, the Grandhotel Pupp hosted the unveiling of the selection, and this year it welcomed Vice-President of the European Parliament Evelyne Gebhardt, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Culture and Education Helga Trüpel, Vice-Chair of the Committee on Budgetary Control Martina Dlabajová, Members of the Committee on Culture and Education Michaela Sojdrova and Bogdan Wenta, and LUX Prize coordinator Doris Pack.
The announcement was preceded by the unveiling of the winner of the Audience Mention for the 2017 LUX Prize Competition, based on feedback collated from voters from all over the continent.
