Ostheim, Liebenthal, New York, Blumenfeld, Bunge, Marienthal – have you heard of any of these cities and towns… in Donbas? It’s unlikely, since almost all of them got typical communist or Russian names in the Soviet era, such as Telmanove, Novgorodske or Yunkomunarivsk. They also got a fictional pro-Russian history, which, unfortunately, was also ascribed to the entire Donbas, making it the most mythologized Soviet territory, a unique and inviolable fortress of the «Russian world».
