At this year's Animafest Zagreb, Martin Vandas, Czech producer and founder of MAUR Film production company, served on the jury for the Grand Competition - Feature Film. He also conducted a masterclass on producing, during which he screened parts of Fimfárum (2002), one of his earliest works as a producer. In this video interview, Vandas discusses the importance of chemistry in the producer-animator relationship, shares his joy about the reception of the MAUR Film short film project I Died In Irpin (2024), talks about the current state of funding in European animation and previews upcoming projects.
