Eduardo, an affable emergency medical technician who drives an ambulance on the night shift, responds to a call. A man named Mario, from the city's underworld, is in a critical condition at home. When he arrives, Mario is at death's door, but before he dies he will leave Eduardo in a situation where, with every passing second, it becomes harder for him to make it through the night alive.
