Slovak director, animator and 3D artist Šimon Mészáros, a graduate of the Department of Animation at Prague's FAMU, presented his graduation film Quantum Jump in the Student Competition at Animafest Zagreb, following its world premiere at Krakow Film Festival. The film follows a pair of artificially generated twins who embark on an odyssey in search of the unknown. We sat down with Meszáros at the annual Animafest picnic to discuss the ideas behind the film and how he sees his future in the era of AI-generated imagery.
