We talk to some of the participants in the festival's brand-new collaborative script-development initiative exploring themes connected to the Nordic and Arctic regions
At the 23rd Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF), we caught up with filmmakers participating in the pilot edition of the Arctic Script Lab, a new script-development initiative organised as part of the festival’s Industry Days in partnership with the Nuuk International Film Festival, bringing together emerging Nordic filmmakers to develop their feature-film projects under the mentorship of Icelandic filmmaker Dagur Kári.
Norwegian-based filmmaker Laurens Pérol introduces Electrified, which he is developing with Joshua Jádi. Danish-German filmmaker Hilke Rönnfeldt discusses Goods, while Finnish documentary director Elina Talvensaari presents Sokli (working title). Finally, filmmakers Mo Tan and Akku Kristensen introduce Aviliaq, a Greenlandic-Polish fiction project.
