The Maiden and the Wolves
by Gilles Legrand
At the end of the First World War, 20 year-old Angèle is determined to become the first woman veterinary surgeon. Her eventful life will lead her to become the focus of relentless rivalry between her fiancé, a visionary but unscrupulous industrialist, and a simple man, who leads a secluded life in the mountains, close to the wolves and far away from the madness of men. Angèle works this rivalry to her advantage in order to achieve her true purpose: saving the wolves.
