Patrick is a rigorous and narrow-minded man. Once a brilliant student, he was sent by his mother when he was ten years old from his native French West Indies to France. Thirty years later he has become a renowned and proud historian. Cut off from his family and traditions, he is so integrated that he has forgotten his roots. He's a black man whose become "white inside." When he learns that his mother is about to die, he immediately leaves for Martinique with his only daughter. The pair arrive in the middle of the carnival. Over a three-day period, accompanied by his childhood friend, the irresistible Zamba, he will caught up in a whirlwind of madness, emotion, humor, and incredible adventures. A journey of initiation to the rhythms of the carnival atmosphere and colors. Three days that will change his life.
