From 31 August-10 September, the Roma Lazio Film Commission will take part in the 79th Venice Film Festival with a series of activities and initiatives for the audiovisual sector, which aim to support and encourage the growth of the sector as well as the promotion of the territory of Rome and Lazio.

On Saturday 3 September at 12.30 p.m., the presentation "Lazio Land of Cinema - The Lazio Region for the cinema and the audiovisual" was held in the Italian Pavilion of the Hotel Excelsior. During the meeting, the initiatives of the Lazio Region in support of the sector were illustrated, with a focus on Regional Funds.

For the development of co-production activities, the film commission is continuing its cooperation with the European Producers Club (EPC), the international network of film and television producers, to promote the potential of the Lazio region, its locations and its funds to support the audiovisual sector.

Furthermore, the organisation participated as a partner in the networking meeting "Cappuccino with the Italians", organised by the Italian Film Commissions in collaboration with the Venice Production Bridge and the ENIT. The event took place on 3 September at 10.00 a.m. at the Terrazza dei Limoni, presenting itself as an international opportunity for meeting and exchange between producers and industry operators present on the Lido and Italian Film Commissions.

For the eighth time since its foundation, the Roma Lazio Film Commission supports the Lizzani Award, a collateral recognition of the festival realised by ANAC - National Association of Cinematographic Authors, in collaboration with the MiC - Italian Ministry of Culture and the Lazio Region.

On 9 September, the ceremony for the best Italian film selected by the award-winning exhibitors will take place at the Italian Pavilion. Specifically, the award represents "the recognition by the authors of the important role of theatres in the territory, an outpost of fundamental importance for the entire sector".
