Oliver Hirschbiegel

Hamburg, 1957. As from 1986, he directed episodes of various TV series (Komissar Rex, Tatort). In 2001 he shot his first film, The Experiment, for which he landed several awards at festivals throughout the world. His other films include: Mein letzer film, the Oscar-nominated Downfall and The Invasion. Five Minutes of Heaven won the Directing and World Cinema Screenwriting Awards at 2009 Sundance Festival.
