The film is toplined by Emilio Sakraya (best known for the Bibi & Tina saga and the TNT series 4 Blocks), the indefatigable Heiner Lauterbach (the German voice-over actor for Kevin Costner and Christopher Walken, to name but a couple of jobs in his long and successful TV and film career, which also includes the recent title Welcome to Germany [+lee también:

The screenplay for Cold Feet, penned by Christof Ritter, will certainly not leave German audiences indifferent, given that they propelled Untouchable [+lee también:

ficha de la película] to the top of the national charts in 2012 by snapping up more than 9.1 million tickets. It portrays an unlikely duo, one half of which is Denis, a third-rate, small-time burglar, who finds himself stuck in the villa of his wealthy victim, Raimund, due to a snowstorm. Denis has also been trapped by this short-tempered old man, who, ever since he suffered a stroke, has been confined to a wheelchair as well as deprived of the power of speech. To avoid being discovered, Denis is forced to take on the role of the old man’s nurse, but the suspicions of Raimund’s daughter and his "patient’s" foul mood draw them into a bizarre game of cat and mouse.
The shoot, which kicked off on 15 January, took place in both Austria and Bavaria. Cold Feet is a production by major Munich-based outfit Claussen+Putz Filmproduktion together with Vienna’s Lotus Film (which produced the last documentary by the late Michael Glawogger, Untitled [+lee también:

ficha de la película], an adaptation of Hermann Hesse’s novel of the same name), in co-production with Deutsche Columbia Pictures Filmproduktion. Martin Bachmann, the MD of Columbia Pictures Germany and Sony Pictures Entertainment Deutschland, which will be in charge of distributing the film, stressed the comedy potential of this sitcom and the huge talent of the actors involved. For producers Uli Putz and Jakob Claussen, this project brings together a veritable "dream team", both in front of and behind the camera.
Cold Feet has received backing from the FFA (to the tune of €447,050), the German Federal Film Fund (DFFF), the German Ministry of Culture, the FFF Bayern Bavarian Film and Television Fund (€250,000), the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW (€350,000), the Vienna Film Fund (€250,000), FISA – Film Industry Support Austria, the Austrian Film Fund and Land Niederösterreich. German audiences will be able to watch the film in theatres as of 17 January 2019, courtesy of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
