Royally Ever After, a new Irish-American feature film, is set to shoot in Enniskerry and Sligo, Ireland, until the end of this month. The production team has recently been hard at work in the astonishing surroundings of Collooney's Markree Castle, the ancestral seat of the Cooper family, partially moated by the waters of the River Unshin.

This inspiring landmark is hosting an international and award-winning crew, which includes director of photography Seamus Deasy (Vikings, My Name Is Emily [+lee también:

Royally Ever After's script was developed by US writer and film producer William R Greenblatt (Judgement in BerlinNearlyweds) and revolves around the character of Sara DeMarco (Fiona Gubelmann), an American teacher in her thirties, who has found her own “Prince Charming” – namely, a handsome foreign writer visiting New Jersey. Nonetheless, Sara will receive an unexpected marriage proposal and will find out that her boyfriend is actually Prince Daniel (Torrance Coombs), heir to the throne of the small kingdom of St Ives. The director of this modern fairy tale is Lee Friedlander, best known for her previous features Double Daddy (2015) and Girl Play (2004) as well as some successful TV films, such as Killer Coach (2016) and Babysitter's Black Book (2015).

Royally Ever After is being produced by Kat Green for US firm Wonderfly Films and Lisa McLaughlin, founder of the Los Angeles Irish Film Festival. The Irish co-producer is Edwina Forkin (Sanctuary [+lee también:

Penance: AithriA Cambodian Spring), of Dublin-based Zanzibar Films, one of Ireland's leading film production companies. Forkin founded Zanzibar Films in 1998 and has boarded more than 30 audiovisual productions over the course of 20 years.

Royally Ever After's filming will run in Sligo until 30 March. Production companies Zanzibar Films and Wonderfly Films have not yet disclosed an official release date for the movie.
