The director of Life Is a Long Quiet River (seven nominations for the César Awards in 1989, including for Best Film, and cashing in on four of them, including those for Best First Feature Film and Best Screenplay), Auntie Danielle (three nominations for the César Awards in 1991) and Happiness Is in the Field (five nominations for the César Awards in 1996, including in the Best Film and Best Director categories) is once again teaming up with the trio of thesps who toplined Tanguy: André Dussollier (winner of the César Award for Best Actor in 1988 and the César for Best Supporting Actor in 1993 and 2002, and set to grace screens in November in Mauvaises herbes), Sabine Azéma (nominated for the César Award for Best Actress six times, and victorious in 1985 and 1987) and Eric Berger (seen recently in Crash Test Aglaé [+lee también:

Written by the director together with Laurent Chouchan, the story kicks off 16 years after the end of the first instalment. Tanguy, now 44 years old, makes his way back to his parents’ house with his daughter Zhu in tow, because Meï Lin has left him. Paul and Édith are devastated to see their "little boy" in such a state, so they do their utmost to give him back his zest for life; but little do they know that in doing so, they are making a rod for their own backs – because Tanguy is starting to feel pretty good at his parents’ place again…
Produced by Antoine Pezet and Jérôme Corcos for Nac Films, Tanguy is Back [+lee también:

Having also been pre-purchased by W9 and OCS, the feature will be shot over a period of nine weeks in Paris and the Paris region, with Guillaume Deffontaines (nominated for the César Award in his category in 2017 for Slack Bay [+lee también:
