The 7th Champs-Élysées Film Festival which took place 12 - 19 June on the world-famous avenue in Paris has now revealed its full list of winners. Presided over by Serge Bozon, a jury composed of Judith Chemla, Ana Girardot, Naidra Ayadi, Damien Bonnard, Pierre Deladonchamps and Sébastien Betbeder handed the French Independent Film award to both July Tales [+lee también:

ficha de la película] by Guillaume Brac (discovered at the Locarno festival, and set for cinema release on 25 July via Les Films du Losange, with sales managed directly by its production company bathysphère) and the documentary 68, mon père et les clous [+lee también:

ficha de la película] by Samuel Bigiaoui (a film produced by Petit à Petit Production), declaring both parties joint winners. On the American side of the independent film competition, victory went to Sollers Point [+lee también:

ficha de la película] by Matt Porterfield (a French co-production which competed in last year’s San Sebastian Film Festival, sold by The Bureau Sales and set for distribution in France from 29 August by JHR Films).
Audience awards for feature films went to Yen Tan for his American production, 1985, and to Vincent Giovanni and Igor Mendjisky, on the French side of the competition, for their film La Trajectoire du homard [+lee también:

ficha de la película], plunging the viewer behind the scenes at a theatre, just one hour before a group-produced play is due to premiere and where unforeseen, wacky and desperate situations unfurl in rapid succession, moving from backstage dressing rooms to the control booth, spilling into corridors and offices (produced by Topshot Films and Entre 2&4 Production).
