Campo, directed by Tiago Hespanha, has emerged as the big winner at the eighth edition of First Look, one of Locarno Pro’s best-established initiatives. Running for three days (3-5 August), this year, First Look aimed to showcase cinema from Portugal via six films currently in post-production, presented by their producers and directors to sales agents, programmers and industry professionals. The project was organised by Markus Duffner.
The awards were announced on Sunday by the international jury, including SXSW Film head Janet Pierson, the San Sebastián Film Festival’s artistic director, José Luis Rebordinos, and the Viennale’s artistic director, Eva Sangiorgi. The jury awarded the documentary film Campo [+lee también:
