ficha del filme] follows the encounter between a prostitute, Fae (Fatou N'Diaye), and a world-famous athlete, Thierry (Vincent Rottiers). During his holiday in Senegal, he falls head over heels for the beautiful African woman. They find dignity and hope in each other as they strive to overcome their troubles. But more important than these mutual desires, they find love.
This is what Koen Mortier depicts in his third feature, Angel, based on the acclaimed novel Monologue of Someone Who Got Used to Talking to Herself by renowned Belgian author Dimitri Verhulst and set to have its international premiere at the 43rd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), in the Contemporary World Cinema section. American sales agent Oration Films, based in Los Angeles, has picked up the world sales.
