ficha de la película] in 2015. The cast includes his fellow countryman Dimitar Radoinov, among other actors.

The story, written by the director himself, traces the life of a man at eight, 18 and 82 years of age, in his village, outside the village, and in the beating sun and the freezing snow. The course of his monotonous existence seems to have been written out in advance and be bereft of meaning. In spite of everything, an invisible force exists within him that mysteriously propels him forwards, towards death… 

Produced by Waterfront Film (the director’s Bulgarian company), February is being co-produced by France’s Koro Films (Céline Chapdaniel and Diane Jassem) with backing from Eurimages, the National Film Center of Bulgaria and the Cinécap Sofica. The six-week shoot in Bulgaria will get under way with a ten-day session starting on 22 February before continuing in August. The French release will be handled by UFO Distribution.
