Great business in sight for the international sales division of the Pathé group behind the scenes of the 44th Toronto International Film Festival (from 5 to 15 September) where the team, led by Marie-Laure Montironi, will be negotiating for, among others, three titles selected at the festival.
Among them, Proxima [+lee también:

ficha del filme] from the French director Alice Winocour stands out. The film will have its world premiere on 7 September in the Platform competition before joining the Official Competition at the 67th San Sebastian Film Festival (from 20 to 28 September). Starring Eva Green and Matt Dillon, the feature (handled by production company Dharamsala) centres on Sarah, a French astronaut who is about to leave Earth for a mission set to last a year, called Proxima. While she is follows the intense training imposed to all astronauts, Sarah, the only woman among many men, gets ready most of all to be separated from her 8-year-old daughter… Pathé will be handing the French release set for 27 November.
Two other films from the line-up of Pathé International will be screened in the Special Presentations programme: Judy [+lee también:
ficha del filme], from English director Rupert Goold (starring American actor Renée Zellweger as Judy Garland), which just had its world premiere in Telluride; and La Belle époque [+lee también:

ficha del filme], from French director Nicolas Bedos, which will have its North-American premiere just a few months after screening out of competition in Cannes and before its French release on 6 November.
The line-up also includes features, now in production: Eiffel, from French director Martin Bourboulon and Coda, from American director Sian Heder (revealed in Sundance 2016 with Tallulah). This English-language remake of French success The Bélier Family [+lee también:
ficha del filme] is produced by Patrick Wachsberger for Picture Perfect Entertainment and by Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi for Vendôme Group (which last May signed a three-year partnership deal with Pathé Films to develop and produce films in the English language).
In Toronto, Pathé International will also continue working on pre-sales for features in post-production: Petit pays from French director Eric Barbier (read the news), The Best Is Yet to Come [+lee también:
