Set in the late 1920s, the film will centre on 32-year-old Dr Jakob Fabian, who spends his days working as an advertising copywriter for a cigarette factory, and his nights wandering through artists' studios and Berlin’s pubs and brothels. Against the backdrop of the economic and political crisis, he falls madly in love with an actress. Yet while her career starts to bloom, Fabian, like many others, loses his job.
Tom Schilling, the lead in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s award-festooned Never Look Away [+lee también:

Filming took place from July to mid-September in Görlitz, Berlin and Brandenburg. Fabian - Going to the Dogs is being produced by Lupa Film (Felix von Boehm) together with ZDF (Daniel Blum). The German theatrical release is being overseen by DCM and is slated for 2020. The world sales will be handled by Beta Cinema.
