As previously announced, the projects, which will be divided into three groups, will be guided by script consultants Anne Gensior, Pavel Jech and Ivo Trajkov. Also, the three script-consultant trainees, who will be joining the project groups, will be mentored by Gyula Gazdag, artistic director of the Sundance Filmmakers Lab, while script consultant and tutor Franz Rodenkirchen will share his feedback with the trainees.

The participants will take part in both group meetings and individual consultations, plus a series of lectures, some of which will be open to the guests of the festival and WEMW. During one of these lectures, the Feature Launch head of studies, Slovenian producer Danijel Hocevar, along with Macedonian director Teona Strugar Mitevska and Bosnian scriptwriter Elma Tataragic, will present a case study on their latest collaboration, the LUX Prize winner God Exists, Her Name is Petrunya [+lee también:

. Furthermore, Teona Strugar Mitevska will present a lecture entitled “From Script to Film: Visual Construction of a Film”, which will go into further detail about bringing context to a story.

Furthermore, Pavel Jech’s lecture is focused on “Truth in Dramaturgy in the Era of Fake News”, during which writers and their trainers may be able to start identifying what is true and false within their own stories, while during his open lecture within the MIDPOINT Cold Open programme, Hungarian tutor Gabor Krigler will present “The Idea to Spawn a Thousand Stories (And How to Run With It)”. Other guest tutors included in this edition are producer Cédomir Kolar, and producer and MIDPOINT TV Launch programme coordinator Katarina Tomková, who will introduce the practical aspects that need to be considered when it comes to preparing a film package and selling a movie.
