The Cannes Film Festival’s Online Marché du Film (running 22 - 26 June) is in the viewfinder of international sales agent Be For Films - a firm directed by Pamela Leu, also the Belgian subsidiary of French group Playtime - who will be negotiating on behalf of 14 titles at the event, including one work awarded the Official Selection Label: Night Doctor [+lee también:

(Cannes’ Critics’ Week 2015), stars Vincent Macaigne, Sara Giraudeau and Pio Marmaï in its cast and will be sold via a promo reel. Written by Elie Wajeman and Agnès Feuvre, the story centres around night doctor Mikael. His work is a vocation. Between two patient-visits in difficult neighbourhoods, he treats those whom no-one else will see: drug addicts, homeless people... He rubs shoulders with destitution… His life is in tatters. Especially in light of his pharmacist cousin who convinces him to write fake prescriptions for Subutex. One night, Mikael decides to get out of this business and build himself a new life. But he must pay a high price… This Partizan Films production, whose photography was entrusted to the wonderful David Chizallet, will be distributed in France by Diaphana.

Be For Films will also be proposing three market premieres, with the documentary The Squad [+lee también:

by Belgian filmmaker Vero Cratzborn (to be launched in French cinemas on 8 July by KMBO). Equally noteworthy are the first images and promo reel taken from the Belgian documentary All of Us by Pierre Pirard.

Standing out in the presales department are several works in post-production, namelyLittle Lesson of Love by Ève Deboise, the dramedy La Dernière Tentation des Belges by Jan Bucquoy, and Azor by Andreas Fontana, starring Fabrizio Rongione in the lead role (read our news - a production bringing together Swiss firm Alina Film, Argentine group Ruda Cine and French outfit Local Films).
