, which also scooped the BUNTE New Faces Award for Best Debut, is preparing his sophomore feature, JGA: Jasmin, Gina, Anna.

With a script written by Golafshan himself, the upcoming comedy will depict a wild trip to Ibiza undertaken by three single ladies, and will focus on what it feels like to be unwillingly single, friendships and fake relationships, all the while trying to capture an entire generation’s attitude towards life. The letters that make up the title are not only the German abbreviation for a stag/hen party; they also stand for Jasmin, Gina and Anna. After everyone else who was supposed to fly to Ibiza to attend a hen do cancels owing to children-related obligations, the pregnant bride-to-be included, the three left-over single ladies decide to get on the plane anyway. Once in Ibiza, Jasmin runs into her ex-boyfriend, who is there celebrating and attending his own stag party. She tells the first of many lies – that she is also there to celebrate her imminent marriage.

Produced, like Golafshan’s debut feature, by Wiedemann & Berg Film (Justyna Muesch, Quirin Berg, Max Wiedemann) and co-produced by Seven Pictures Film (Stefan Gärtner), the upcoming comedy has received funding from the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, and the German Federal Film Board (FFA) and Deutscher Filmförderfonds (DFFF).

Shooting started on 10 October last year on location in Munich and the surrounding areas, and it has been announced that filming will resume on Ibiza in 2021. Leonine is planning to release the movie in Germany this year.
