The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) has handed out its awards just a few hours before the unveiling of the winners’ list of the 74th Cannes Film Festival. In the competition, the international critics’ pick was the splendid Drive My Car by Japanese helmer Ryusuke Hamaguchi. Its international sales are handled by German firm The Match Factory.
For the Un Certain Regard selection, victory was claimed by Playground [+lee también:

Production duties were handled by Paris-based outfit Still Moving, with Egypt’s Film Clinic and Lagoonie Film Production, the Netherlands’ KeplerFilm, Verona Meier (a producer working in both Berlin and Norway) and Greece’s Heretic (which is also overseeing the international sales) acting as co-producers.
