Final Cut in Venice, the project steered by Venice Production Bridge which, since 2013, has been supporting the post-production of films hailing from African countries, as well as from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Syria, has announced the 8 titles selected for its 10th edition, which will unspool 3-5 September as part of the 79th Venice Film Festival.
The aim of the workshop is to provide an opportunity for the presentation of films which are still in the production phase to professionals working within the film industry, with a view to facilitating their post-production and helping them access the market.
The 10th edition of Final Cut in Venice will consist of three professional days on Venice’s Lido, during which working copies of the eight selected movies will be presented to producers, buyers, distributors, production companies and festival programmers. The first two days of the workshop (3 and 4 September) will be dedicated to screenings of these eight films, while a special schedule of one-to-one meetings will be organised between the selected projects and accredited professionals attending Venice Production Bridge on 5 September. The event will close with an awards ceremony whose prizes will consist of either services or cash aimed at supporting the films financially during the post-production phase.
The new brochure containing details of the selected projects can be accessed in the “VPB Programme 2022/Downloads” section of the Venice Production Bridge website, or by clicking here.
