A Cineuropa general assembly has been held to elect the members of its board of directors. The members appointed Hubert Toint as honorary president as well as Luciana Castellina, thus honouring two of the founding members of the organisation, who have both put a great deal of effort into developing and nurturing it since it was first established in 2001.

Cécile Despringre continues as president, and Cristina Priarone will remain in her role as vice-president of the board of directors. Christine Eloy was elected vice-president, stepping into the shoes of Hubert Toint.

The whole team is delighted to welcome Frédéric Cornet as the newest member of the board of directors. Frédéric is the manager of the Cinéma Galeries in Brussels and is one of the founding members of Cineville Belgium. Thanks to his role as an exhibitor, Frédéric complements the industry-orientated expertise of Cineuropa’s board. His experience will be added to that of the other re-elected members: Cécile Despringre (secretary-general of the SAA – Society of Audiovisual Authors), Christine Eloy (general manager of Europa Distribution), Cristina Priarone (head of the Lazio Film Commission), Charlotte Appelgren (secretary-general of Cine Regio), Julie-Jeanne Regnault (secretary-general of EFAD – European Film Agency Directors Association) and Andrea Rocco (manager of the FLIGHT International Film Festival).

Cineuropa is a non-profit organisation that aims to promote diversity in the European audiovisual industry worldwide, thanks to daily publications in four languages and contributions from around 40 dedicated professionals hailing from all member states of the European Union.
