, Luce is produced by Bokeh Film and Stemal Entertainment together with RAI Cinema. Photography comes courtesy of Jacopo Maria Caramella, editing is by Luzi and Bellino, sound is offered up by Paolo Benvenuti and Daniele Sosio, and music by Stefano Grosso and Alessandro Paolini.

“We wanted to continue exploring relationships with power, vis-a-vis fathers or bosses”, explain Luzi and Bellino, who are also responsible for the film’s subject and screenplay. “That power that crushes you when it’s family and which alienates you at work. We’ve tried to do this through the turmoil experienced by a young woman, in an environment which would rather have her an ignorant and downtrodden blue-collar worker, and which leads her to make an unhealthy choice in search of an absence and of a voice which soon become a parallel life for her. Which might be an invention or actually more real than reality. Our working method is the one we love most: a screenplay rewritten day by day, real places, real people, continuous shooting, acting which is no longer fiction but which plays out all on its own”.
