Miss Kebab, the new dramedy directed and co-written by Natalia Koryncka-Gruz, received the inaugural Wrocław Feature Film Studio Award. This award, which marks the 70th anniversary of the local studio, includes production and post-production services worth 100,000 PLN (€22,000). The story revolves around Ola, a Polish teacher in Leeds nicknamed Ms. Kebab, who faces skepticism from her headmistress, Chicken. Ola must prepare a demonstration lesson for a school board inspection to secure a permanent contract. With Christmas approaching, Ola plans a performance about Jesus's birth, despite her multicultural students' varying religious knowledge. Miss Kebab is being produced by Natalia Koryncka-Gruz for Eureka Studio and is scheduled for production in 2025.

), was honoured with the Fixafilm Postproduction Award. This accolade covers image post-production expenses, valued at up to 30,000 PLN (€6,600). The film is a political thriller where residents of a Warsaw tenement launch a hunger strike to protest "wild reprivatisation" threatening their homes, facing eviction tactics like deprivation of water and electricity. Matys, a tenant, barricades the building after his wife agrees to move out, escalating tensions among residents. According to Kruhlik, the film, which will be directed to capture documentary-like authenticity, explores themes of hope, dignity, and individual struggles against systemic oppression. Sacred Law is being produced by Kuba Kosma for Serce and is scheduled for production in 2026.

The ORKA Postproduction Award, valued at 30,000 PLN (€6,600), for image post-production services, was bestowed upon Escape from the Dark Valley by Jan Holoubek (25 Years of Innocence. The Case of Tomek Komenda [+lee también:

). Based on a true story, the film follows four men who attempt a daring escape from Auschwitz-Birkenau using a limo stolen from the SS Commandant. The drama/action film portrays human will and the strength to survive in extreme conditions. The film is produced by Anna Waśniewska-Gill for Wonder X and is expected to enter production by 2026.

No Problemo Music decided to bestow awards upon three projects. The documentary in progress, Four Winters in Edificio Cuba by Aleksandra Maciuszek, and the biopic Chopin, Chopin! by Michał Kwieciński, received Audio Network music licenses for their films and promotional materials, with no restrictions on time, territory, or field of use. Meanwhile, the work-in-progress romantic thriller Romantic Psychos by Łukasz Grzegorzek received a co-production contribution for sound post-production worth 75,000 PLN (€16,500).

Just before the Polish Days, the 15th edition of New Horizons Studio+ took place from 18-21 July in collaboration with Creative Europe Desk Poland. The programme included a series of workshops and lectures, providing a platform for emerging European directors and producers working on their debut or sophomore projects to engage with experts and gain insights into project promotion and development.

The Main Prize of New Horizons Studio+ and the London Film Academy was awarded to the Polish project Almost Happy, directed by Ewa Podgórska and produced by Daria Maślona, which includes script consultancy sponsored by the London Film Academy. Additionally, the project In Good Faith directed by Anna Wowra and produced by Tomáš Pertold, received the CANAL+ Online Award, granting it a letter of intent for TV distribution upon completion.
