The Nouveau Marché will take place from 10-13 October, alongside the 53rd edition of Montréal’s Festival du nouveau cinéma (FNC, 9-20 October), and will offer a unique platform for filmmakers to establish partnerships on a global scale.

Among the selected projects are feature films in development from various regions: Africa, Asia, North America, South America and Europe. The films will be presented during a pitching session in front of industry professionals, both local and international. This year's selection was meticulously overseen by Hayet Benkara, head of the Nouveau Marché, and Karim Aitouna from Haut Les Mains Productions.

A jury composed of Olivier Père (Arte France Cinéma), Mollye Asher (FirstGen Content) and Grégoire Gensollen (Tucker Tooley Entertainment) will award a prize of 25,000 CAD (circa €16,700) to one of the selected projects. Additionally, for the second consecutive year, the ArteKino Foundation will present the ArteKino International Prize, accompanied by a grant of €6,000.

The Nouveau Marché stands out for its unique opportunities for co-production, distribution and networking. The invited filmmakers and producers will benefit from meetings and events specifically organised to facilitate international collaboration.

An essential part of the FNC’s professional activities under the FNC Industry section, this fourth edition is supported by partners such as SODEC, Téléfilm Canada, Netflix, Eurimages and Warner Bros Discovery Access Canada, in partnership with Le Film Français.
