The story, written by Matt Alexander, revolves around Badh Siracine, who has distanced herself from her mysterious past in order to forge an uneventful new life for herself in Essaouira, Morocco. When her husband, Ilias Siracine, is targeted by Mansour Khoury, the man who heads up a powerful Moroccan cartel, Badh regains her thirst for justice and vengeance. Because Badh is actually a former agent from the Alpha section of the Directorate General for External Security, specially trained to eliminate “high-value targets” and protect France’s interests. These are agents dubbed “The Killers of the Republic”.

Produced by Marc-Étienne Schwartz for M.E.S. Productions and by Marc Stanimirovic for Monkey Pack Films, Badh is being co-produced by Ginger & Fed and WTFilms, which will team up to manage the international sales. Having been pre-purchased by Netflix, the feature, the shoot for which will wrap on 15 January in Morocco, sees Pierre Cottereau in charge of the cinematography and will be edited by Mathilde Van de Moortel (César Award in her category in 2016 and 2023 for Mustang [+lee también:
