The 2025 edition places creativity and collaboration at its core. With the industry undergoing rapid shifts, the event aims to address pressing challenges, including remodelling production practices and leveraging new financing structures. The programme offers unique insights into cutting-edge strategies for audience design and explores how local stories can resonate with global viewers.

Renowned international and regional creators will take centre stage, including acclaimed French writer and showrunner Fanny Herrero. Known for the hit series Call My Agent! and Standing Up, Herrero’s work has become synonymous with sharp wit and insightful storytelling.  Complementing this, Norwegian series creator, actor and comedian Henriette Steenstrup will grace the event with her presence, sharing insights from her career in theatre, film and television. Steenstrup will present her upcoming series Nepobaby and Triage while also serving as the president of the 2025 Nordic Series Award jury.

An integral part of this year’s programme is the French-Nordic Series Connection, which emphasises the exciting synergies between these two powerhouse audiovisual regions. Organised in partnership with the CNC, the Institut français de Suède and the French Embassy in Sweden, this initiative will see a delegation of prominent French producers and decision makers engaging with Nordic professionals to explore co-production opportunities and financing resources.

A series of panels will further enrich the event, exploring diverse aspects of contemporary television production. One key session is “Frenemies and New Alliances”, a deep dive into co-financing models moderated by Marike Muselaers, featuring Timo Argillander (IPR.VC), Alex Traila (Council of Europe), Jasmin Maeda (ZDF) and Nathalie Perus (Atlantique Productions). In “Steve Against the Machine: Reloaded”, Banijay Entertainment’s Steve Matthews will challenge AI tools in a scriptwriting showdown that explores the intersection of technology and creativity. Finally, “Vision Board – Collaboration for Innovation” features insights from Joanna Szymanska (SHIPsBOY), Kjartan Thordarson (Sagafilm Nordic) and Morad Koufane (France Télévisions) on sustaining creativity and quality in European drama.

At the heart of TV Drama Vision’s Works in Progress session is the much-anticipated series Life’s Worth. Commissioned by ARTE France and Viaplay, the six-part drama is a harrowing depiction of the first Swedish UN battalion in Bosnia in 1993. Directed by Ahmed Abdullahi (Top Dog), and penned by Mona Masri (Snabba Cash [+lee también:
