Copenhagen-based international sales agent LevelK will be rocking up at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival (13-23 February) and the accompanying European Film Market (EFM, 13-19 February) with an engaging slate of films spanning diverse genres and narratives. This year’s line-up includes an eagerly anticipated Norwegian sequel, a chilling Swedish horror and a variety of festival-acclaimed titles poised to attract global buyers.

Leading the roster is Dancing Queen in Hollywood, directed by Aurora Gossé, which is a sequel to the Norwegian family film Dancing Queen [+lee también:

Balancing her passion for dance with family turmoil, Dancing Queen in Hollywood promises to be a heartfelt and energetic adventure.

Set in Sweden, the film follows Joel, who reluctantly returns to his childhood home to care for his mother after she suffers a severe stroke. Featuring eerie cinematography and a suspenseful atmosphere, The Home is set to have its world premiere at the upcoming SXSW.

The film premiered in the Nordic Competition of the Göteborg Film Festival, where it was awarded the Swedish Church Film Prize (see the news).

Adding a bold and unconventional touch to the line-up is Sudden Outbursts of Emotion, a Finnish sex-positive dramedy directed by Paula Korva. The story centres on Jane and Mikki, a couple navigating an open relationship as they venture to the infamous Isle of Lust, a retreat for sexual exploration. However, their experiment quickly unravels as unexpected emotions and buried insecurities rise to the surface. Sudden Outbursts of Emotion explores modern relationships with an unfiltered and refreshing approach.

Rounding off the selection is Idyllic [+lee también:

Idyllic has just had its world premiere in IFFR’s Big Screen Competition.
