Antonia Campbell-Hughes’ upcoming body-thriller Diamond Shitter, starring Raffey Cassidy, has revealed some brand-new additions to its cast, including Eva Green, Ben Whishaw and Alessandro Nivola. Ahead of the European Film Market (EFM, 13-19 February), German sales agent Beta Cinema has secured the international sales rights, while UTA Independent Film Group will manage the North American distribution.

Set within the affluent expat community of Geneva, Diamond Shitter follows Nollaig, a young intern who unwittingly triggers a dark transformation in her host family's privileged household after stealing their valuable diamonds and absorbing them into her body. In doing so, she uncovers the hidden truths lurking behind the family's facade of wealth and power.

Up-and-coming British actress Raffey Cassidy will portray the enigmatic Nollaig. She is widely recognised after starring in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Killing of a Sacred Deer [+lee también:

Campbell-Hughes explains the film’s emotional core, stating: “In a time of emotional fatigue, we crave the beauty of justice. This film is a primal howl, a white-knuckle ride that explores the devastating fragility of the human condition. I wish to reinstate hope, to reassess what constitutes value and worth in our ricocheting society. I have found a truly thrilling cast to bring to life this searing piece, written from lived experience, which has driven me for over a decade.”
