Meeting Point Vilnius (MPV) has revealed the line-up of selected projects in development and production that will be pitched on 17 March at Forum Cinemas Vingis in Vilnius, during the event's 16th edition. The industry event will run in the Lithuanian capital from 17-20 March, during the days of the Vilnius International Film Festival (Kino Pavasaris, 7-23 March), the Baltic country’s largest cinematic gathering.

ficha de la película], which is also in the running for the LUX Audience Award, will open the festival as well as screen in the festival’s main competition.

The four-day boutique event promises to bring “new trends and energies” while “moving over from its format of a more conference-shaped event, targeting and nurturing the specific needs of different industry groups and keeping in line with the fast-paced changing industry and trends”.

MPV aims to serve as a bridging point between national and regional film professionals, and those coming from different European countries, with a strong focus on discovering young and upcoming talents, as well as supporting others in further developing their careers.

Festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, international film critics and other key industry players from across Europe will take part in the event.

For the first time, MPV’s Work in Progress project presentations will be divided into two sections: one for films that have already reached the production stage, and another for projects still in development. This structure should allow for stronger support of early-stage talents and ideas, increasing project visibility while opening up broader opportunities for international collaboration and funding.

According to the official press release, “the film projects were selected based on their artistic value, thematic diversity, and international potential,” with “special attention given to young filmmakers working on their first or second feature film, as well as to Lithuanian film talents.”

MPV’s activities will unspool at Forum Cinemas Vingis, Madstone post-production studio, and Neringa Hotel. MPV is supported by the Lithuanian Film Centre, the Municipality of Vilnius, AVAKA, the Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster, the Vilnius Film Office, GO Vilnius and Telia Play, among others.
