Sixteen immersive works hailing from nine countries will be presented in the Selection at the 78th Cannes Film Festival (13-24 May), nine of which will be in the competition, set to be judged by a jury chaired by French director Luc Jacquet, who will be flanked by US artist Laurie Anderson, French author Tania de Montaigne, UK director Martha Fiennes and Japanese video-game creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

Of the 16 propositions offering an overview of a rapidly evolving language – from virtual reality, through video mapping and artificial intelligence, to mixed reality – two will be presented out of competition and five in the context of a Focus spotlighting Luxembourgish creations.
