Organised within the framework of the 36th FIDMarseille (running 8 to 13 July – read our news), the 17th edition of FIDLab has selected 11 projects (out of 417 applicants) which will be presented on 10 and 11 July to professionals accredited to the Marseille-based international co-production platform. The jury will be composed of Serbia’s Stefan Ivančić (programmer for the Locarno Film Festival, among other roles), Austrian producer and distributor Pierre-Emmanuel Finzi (Nabis Filmgroup, Filmgarten) and Spain’s Olimpia Pont Cháfer (TorinoFilmLab).
The two projects singled out by the Joaquim Jordà residency (backed by FIDMarseille, DocLisboa and the Museo Reina Sofía) are also set for presentation.
For the record, the most notable European projects to have passed through FIDLab last year are Bogancloch [+lee también:

Two new collaborations have also been initiated, the first with the Porto/Post/Doc Festival which will include an FIDLab project in its co-production platform, and the second with Le Groupe Ouest which will see all projects in the development phase benefiting from a coaching session within the Less is More programme.
Last but not least, initiated in 2019, this year’s FiDLab Geographical Focus will pay tribute to Poland, with three Polish production companies (Kijora Film, Lava Films and Mozaika Films) presenting their work, in partnership with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Institut polonais de Paris, and in collaboration with the New Horizons Festival.
