Production is now underway in the UK on Sense and Sensibility, Focus Features’ and Working Title Films’ new take on Jane Austen’s titular novel of 1811. Helmed by BAFTA Award nominee Georgia Oakley (Blue Jean [+lee también:

The adaptation stars Daisy Edgar-Jones (known for her turn in the series Normal People) and Esmé Creed-Miles (known for the series Hanna, seen at Cannes this year in The Chronology of Water [+lee también:

Austen’s novel has been adapted for the screen several times before, most notably in the form of Ang Lee’s 1995 movie, winner of the Berlinale’s Golden Bear and the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, and starring Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Hugh Grant.
