The series Vendetta will have the honour of being featured at the gala evening of the world's largest market dedicated to French audiovisual programmes. This 6x52' series created by Ange Basterga (also credited as a writer alongside Pierre-Marie Mosconi and Emmanuelle Michaux) is a Corsican family saga spanning from the 1990s to the present day. Starring Thierry Neuvic and Vahina Giocante in the lead roles, the series follows in the footsteps of Anto is a Parisian cop of Corsican origin. As a child, he swore to his brother – killed in a vendetta – to break the cycle of vengeance that has plagued their family for generations. But as he prepares to return to his homeland with his wife, Vanina, to take over the family vineyard, he is ambushed. His father is murdered, and Anto falls into a deep coma. When he wakes up ten years later, he discovers that his son, Santu, now a teenager, is obsessed with revenge. How far will Anto go to protect his son and reclaim his life? The production was handled by CPB Films and international sales are being managed by France tv distribution.

The climate issue is also at the heart of a fictional series on the screening schedule: After Us (Phoenix), by Louis Aubert and Matthieu Bernard, co-written by Clément Marchand, and directed by Franck Brett. Starring Natacha Lindinger, François Berléand, Marie Colomb and Léo Legrand, this 6x45, sold by Mediawan Rights, follows the Alpha Group, a clandestine organisation that decides, on the eve of a European forum, to fight climate inaction by kidnapping the children of business leaders to force them to honour their commitments.
Season 2 of the drama series Escort Boys (6x45’), written by Marc Syrigas, Ruben Alves and Yael Lebrati Attuil, directed by Ruben Alves, sold by Wild Bunch TV, which reunites the characters interpreted by Guillaume Labbé, Thibaut Evrard, Corentin Fila and Simon Ehrlacher, forced to return to escorting just as they were about to save their family estate.
Professionals attending the event in Le Havre will be able to view the entire programme offering on the event platform and on site in the video library. These 31st Unifrance Rendez-vous in Le Havre will also feature a morning of conferences, including the unveiling by the CNC and Unifrance of the export figures for French audiovisual programmes in 2024. Finally, the market will close on a high note with the Barbapapa: One Big Happy Family! series (104x11’).
