), who’s terrorised by her students but who’s convinced of the fundamental educational importance of their schooling, and is assigned to a challenging high school in Rome’s Rebibbia neighbourhood.

Her colleagues have lost all hope of getting anything out of their senior class, an urban melting pot harbouring the most challenging and resistant students. Between cigarette smoke and broken families, drug dealing and first loves, sex and resignation, the kids throw their lives away day after day between joints, mobile phones and prejudice, convinced that life outside of school is hostile and out of their reach. Their teacher has three options: she can scarper, like her predecessors, stop caring, or climb down into the lion’s den unarmed. She doesn’t succeed in understanding them, but she does manage to claw her way into their hearts, lending meaning to their school journey and to her life as a teacher.

Joining Anna Ferzetti is a group of young actors, many of whom are enjoying their first screen roles: Fabio Bizzarro (who’s reuniting with Carteni after La seconda chance), Zoe Massenti (Il complottista), Sara Silvestro (Come gocce d'acqua [+lee también:

The film’s photography comes courtesy of Vladan Radovic, who’s collaborating with the director for the fifth time, while editing was entrusted to Lorenzo Campera - who worked on Carteni’s three previous titles - and music to Diego Buongiorno, who’s back after La seconda chance.

Domani interrogo was produced by On Production in league with RAI Cinema, in collaboration with Vision Distribution. The latter are set to distribute the film in Italian cinemas in due course.
