ficha de la película]) from Tanguy Viel’s novel Article 353 du code pénal, the story revolves around a bankrupt entrepreneur who’s separated from his wife and who believes he’s faced with an opportunity to rebuild his life when a charismatic property developer involves him in an ambitious project. But what was supposed to be a new beginning soon turns into a trap…

Produced by Marie Guillaumond on behalf of Felicita Films and by François Kraus and Denis Pineau-Valencienne for Les Films du Kiosque, Article 353 has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+ OCS. Also enjoying support from the SOFICA companies Cofinova, Indefilms and Cineventure, the feature film will be shot in Sète and the surrounding area over 20 days, with a wrap date set for 1 April. World sales are steered by Studio TF1 while distribution in French cinemas will fall to Ad Vitam.

For the record, Felicita Films recently produced the Merteuil and Zodiaque series (the latter being set for promotion by Unifrance within the upcoming Series Mania Forum’s Coming Next from France programme). Les Films du Kiosque, for their part, are overseeing post-production on Demain je tombe amoureux by Martin Provost (read our article) and on L’objet du délit by Agnès Jaoui (article).
