The CEE Animation Forum has launched the call for submissions for its 14th edition, which will take place from 10-12 November in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The event, one of the leading co-production and pitching platforms dedicated to European animation, will once again bring together producers, creators and industry professionals to present new projects, while fostering international partnerships.

Projects can be submitted for the pitching competition in four categories: feature films, series and TV specials, short films, and student short films. The forum traditionally serves as a meeting point for professionals from across Europe, offering not only pitching sessions, but also a co-production market, one-to-one meetings and networking activities aimed at encouraging collaboration, financing opportunities and distribution strategies.

Feature-film projects must have a minimum length of 60 minutes and can be at the concept or development stage. Series and TV specials, including web series and single films of at least 20 minutes, must already be in development, while short films (up to 20 minutes) and student shorts (of the same length) can be submitted in development or pre-production, though not at concept stage.

According to managing director Marta Jallageas, the forum has gradually established itself as a key hub for animation professionals seeking international partners. “Every year, our co-production market helps ambitious projects find the right collaborators, financing opportunities and international visibility, building bridges between animation professionals across Europe,” she noted.

Selected projects will compete for several awards, including the official forum prizes, the CEE Animation Workshop Award and a range of partner awards, with a total value of approximately €50,000 in cash and services.

The CEE Animation Forum is supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA programme, the Czech Audiovisual Fund, the Czech Audiovisual Producers’ Association and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

The submission deadline is 10 May 2026. Please click here for more information about the submission process.
