THE DINNER

by Menno Meyjes

synopsis

Despite having been asked to retire from the teaching profession because of his unpredictable mood swings and unpalatable opinions on modern society, the caustic Paul is almost deliriously happy. He's in love with his wife, Claire, and proud of his teenage son, Michel. But things may be changing. Michel is hardly perfect — a call from Paul's noxious politician brother Serge alerts him to the fact that he's not the only one who suspects Michel has committed an unthinkable crime.
