VATERFREUDEN

by Matthias Schweighöfer

synopsis

Having children is not hard, but actually having children, as in having them... that’s something completely different! Not that Felix and his friends would know too much about that kind of reality. Norbert and his wife, having tried and failed in the time honored traditional manner, are resorting to the ways, means and methods of modern medicine. That means their love life takes second place to a strict regime of times, dates and medicinal rules. Tom, on the other hand, is a father from conviction, trying hard to be the perfect dad even if he is quite overwhelmed by the whole business.

For Felix, though, this is all kind of academic and irrelevant. He has his hands full at the moment, with his nerd-like brother Henne who has turned up on his doorstep, unannounced. In fact, becoming a dad is so far down his to-do list it is not even the last thing on his mind. But then the completely unexpected happens and all of a sudden Felix wants to know just one thing, could Munich’s most recognized sports presenter Maren also make a good mother...?
